4-6 Month Baby Must-Haves to Keep Your Baby Happy!

4-6 Month Baby Must-Haves to Keep Your Baby Happy!

When Weston hit the 4 month mark, he turned more into a personality filled, active baby than a potato. The items below were big hits with Baby Weston around 4-6 months.

  • If your baby uses a pacifier, you NEED a pacifier leash. Your baby will inevitably drop or spit out his pacifier on the ground. Get this or carry 20 pacifiers!
  • Sitting is a huge milestone that your baby will hit during this time and the Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat is super helpful with that. Also if you get the one with the tray (see below), you can serve snacks on it. However I wouldn’t say the tray one is a must-have just a nice-to-have. 😊
  • I didn’t believe the hype about Sophie the Giraffe but man did my little LOVE Sophie. Squeaking it, chewing on it, throwing it, anything to keep him entertained!
  • Weston grew out of the swaddle quickly and hated it after not long, but thankfully someone invented sleep sacks. They are an amazing transition from swaddles to pajamas. Here are the ones we loved; they are great quality and affordable and you can get any fabric you need depending on temperature.
  • Rattles, rattles, rattles!! I cannot emphasize how much Weston loved things he could swing that made noise and we especially like ones like this because they were soft and couldn’t hurt him if he hit himself in the face haha.
  • Teether and rattle combined toys are a WIN-WIN at this age. He enjoyed this one a lot and especially loved the noises he made when he threw it (oye vay!).
  • Weston lived on this Kick n’Play Piano Gym, practiced rolling over on this mat, and still plays with the keyboard part of it at over a year old!
  • I personally think baby shoes, while cute, are a waste of money, mostly. The exception is if you live somewhere cold, you gotta have something warm for their footsies while in the car seat or stroller. These little booties fit him perfectly and never fell off (which daycare loved).
  • Teether Keys, just get them. They are a few dollars and your baby will love playing with them and chewing on them, promise! We also put these in the freezer so the gel felt amazing on his emerging little teeth.
  • Lastly, if your daycare (or you just want to) get professional pictures done, this is a good age to start getting the cute smiley, giggly ones that are SO worth the money (see cutie proof below).

Hopefully this was somewhat helpful even though all babies are different, I believe a lot of this list will apply to a majority of them.

Good luck with this fun little age range and let me know if you have any questions!
